Hello, all!

I've been noticing that the icon communities on Dreamwidth are quite active as compared to LJ. I've joined a few communities myself and in fact am moderating a 10in20 icon community where all fandoms are welcome. Would anyone be interested in moving animated20in20 to Dreamwidth. Or should we keep it here?

I'm not active on dw. Then again, I haven't been too active here either lol, but even less so if it moved. Just one opinion.
Now that the holidays are over, hopefully I will have more time to participate.

Hey there!thanks for letting me know. I just don't see a lot of communities dedicated to animations,and none on DW,so just testing things out. You're more than welcome to participate whenever you can. No pressure. :)

I have a DW account, and try to remember to back things up over there, but honestly I usually forget it's even there until something/someone reminds me. So the odds of me remembering that a challenge has moved over there are.... pretty slim. It is something that has been discussed in other communities I participate(d) in as well. Some have stayed, some have moved. Some that moved seemed to do well last I checked, and others fizzled out completely. Idk. It's hard to really project. I do wish more icontests were active around here lately, though I know I've had difficult participating in even the few remaining that are active I follow myself with RL lately. I used to do a lot more, and sometimes really miss it, but not really much that can be done about it other than keep trying when time and health allows.

Ahh,I see. Even I didn't use DW much until a few days back when I found some icon communities there. And yes,real life does get in the way of things,haha.I totally understand though. :) Thanks for letting me know what you think!

I do have a Dreamwidth, even had 3 20in20 icon communities, but participation dwindled in them. So I kind of stopped using my Dreamwidth. I would just go with whatever you feel comfortable.
Both LiveJournal and Dreamwidth seem inactive in icon making to me at least. :(
